Welcome to a new REELS at Scotia film series, Spotlight Cinema, where each series of films highlights a particular actor, director, or theme. The first spotlight shines on the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, who filmed two movies locally. The first was Scent of a Woman in Troy, and the second was Synecdoche, New York, shot in part here in the Electric City. Scan the QR code to read an article about Hoffman and his craft.
All movies will start at 3:30 pm sharp in the Scotia Meeting Room, and snacks will be provided on a first come/first served basis. Only patrons 18+ will be admitted. The screening will cover eight of his films, on the following schedule:
