In partnership with the Town of Rotterdam, visit our town parks this summer and enjoy an outdoor story time with fruit or muffins for breakfast! Food will be nut-free.

Join us for a story time the whole family can enjoy! While the books, songs, and rhymes will be for 1 and 2 year olds, siblings are welcome.

For 1 and 2 year olds and their caregivers.

Bring your baby and bounce along to songs, rhymes, and stories! Learn about early literacy resources and connect with other caregivers.
 

For babies 0-14 months and their caregivers.

Miss Lisa leads babies, toddlers, and preschoolers in this interactive music class.  Kids will listen to songs, engage in creative movement, and use instruments to have fun with music.

Join instructor Janet Jaster to learn the basics of crochet. Fun for the whole family! All materials will be provided.

This event is a 4-class series 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, and 7/29. Participants should be able to attend all 4 classes.

Whether your allegiance is to the Skywings, you're Berk's best dragon trainer, or you're waiting to be chosen by the Dragon Stone, all dracomaniacs are welcome!

Drop in and play a board game! We have Operation, Scrabble, Perfection, Jenga, Guess Who, Yeti in My Spaghetti, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Connect 4, Checkers, Chess and various card games! For families with kids and teens.

Create Your Own Tie-Dye Teddy Yeti. First, bring your yeti to life by hand stuffing it, then make it uniquely your own by painting it with a tie-dye paint.  Snacks will be served. 

Schenectady County Historian Bill Buell will be available to answer questions and meet with any patrons looking for help with local history research during this time. No registration required.

Join educators from the USS SLATER museum to learn about the role of the US Navy and Destroyer escorts. Talk about SLATER's funny paint job and what purpose it served, as well as design our own ship and give it a hero's name.

A Baby Café is a free drop-in service offering in-person breastfeeding/chestfeeding support for pregnant and/or new parents in the community. Siblings and partners welcome! Grab and go snacks provided.

If you love the Loch Ness Monster and wonder if Bigfoot is real, there will be something crafty you can make at the library today! There will be a few different projects you can craft to celebrate the adventurous, strange and mysterious.

Science fiction writers imagine the reality of their current technology into future possibilities. In our workshop with Chef Margaret, we'll do just that!
