In partnership with the Town of Rotterdam, SCPL will be visiting parks around Rotterdam this Summer! Enjoy an outdoor story time with a breakfast snack and craft.

Come check out our early literacy stations in the programming room, including a story time! We will have books previously selected for check out and a craft station every week! Activities and play stations will be different each week.

Join WMHT Public Television for a Kids Count program and activities.  Read & discuss the story: One Duck Stuck, enjoy child & caregiver counting activities, hands-on crafts, and carry home the storybook.

Bring your baby and bounce along to songs, rhymes, and stories! Learn about early literacy resources and connect with other caregivers.

Baby Café is a free drop-in service offering in-person breastfeeding/chestfeeding support for pregnant and/or new parents in the community. Siblings and partners welcome! Grab and go snacks provided.

Participants will work with an instructor from Art in Mind Studio to create a colorful Kaleidoscope Sun Catcher!  All materials provided.

Kids entering grades 1-5.  Registration required.

This project is inspired by Ghost River, a painting by artist Tyson Reeder. For the program, participants will create their own ghostly scenes, out of air-dry clay, and card stock.

Build in color at Build Zone.  Use your imagination to create a colorful build.  All building materials will remain in the library; don’t forget your camera!

Galaxies are made up of billions of stars and each star has a color. Join educator Dr. Mindy Townsend to learn about how many of each color star are usually found in galaxies and why our eyes might deceive us as we look at them.
 

With themed sensory bins, motor skills activities, and an open ended art project, this exploratory play time is designed for ages 2-5. Playtime is for parents/caregivers and their littles. Dress for mess.

Welcome to the REELS at Glenville film series, Spotlight Cinema, where each series of films we highlight a particular actor, director, or theme. The current spotlight is a Star Wars Extravaganza with episodes 1-9 and Rogue One!

Take advantage of our air conditioning to chill out and de-stress at the library! Join us each month for relaxing activities that don’t feature a screen. Snacks and supplies provided! This week, we'll explore pendulum painting.

Bring your current fiber art project to this social group to work on, meet new people and learn new skills. From knitting/crochet to cross stitch, and everything in between, we can help each other begin and complete craft projects.
