Event Details
The book, A Sky That Sings, by author and educator Anita Sanchez, is about a different way to experience nature.
Mia is spending a sunny afternoon at the park bird-listening! Some people enjoy bird-watching, but as a blind person, Mia uses her other senses to identify different birds by their unique calls and songs. She calls it bird-listening.
After the author reads her book, we'll listen to some recorded bird conversations and try to figure out what the birds are saying -- and learn to identify some common birdcalls.
In order to ensure reserved spaces in the program, please register each participating child separately.
Registration is required.
