Early literacy class for children birth to age 5, with adult caregiver. Stories, songs, activities and social interaction for the whole family.

Miss Lisa leads babies, toddlers and preschoolers in this interactive music class. Kids will listen to songs, engage in creative movement, and use instruments to have fun with music.  Ages 0-5 with caregiver.

Bring your baby and bounce along to songs, rhymes, and stories! Learn about early literacy resources and connect with other caregivers. 

Come check out our early literacy stations in the programming room, including a story time! We will have books previously selected for check out and a craft station every week! Activities and play stations will be different each week.

A Baby Café is a free drop-in service offering in-person breastfeeding/chestfeeding support for pregnant and/or new parents in the community. Siblings and partners welcome! Grab and go snacks provided.

A very basic course demonstrating computer fundamentals, terminology, use of the mouse and generally working in the Microsoft Windows operating system environment. Laptops will be available for use, but feel free to bring your own laptop.

Breath to Brush is master calligrapher Richard Wang’s interactive exhibition and workshop to show that not only is calligraphy an art, but it can also be used as a meditation tool to focus and relax the mind.

In this class you will perform postures and breathing exercises with the aid of a chair. Students can experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor.

Certified Yoga Instructor, Rebecca Brown, of Rooted Movement, will lead a chair yoga class to mobilize, stretch and strengthen the body while seated in a chair.

Bring your current craft project to this social group to work on, meet new people and learn new skills. From knitting to quilting, and everything in between, we can help each other begin and complete craft projects.

Learn how to play Mahjong in this six-week session. Mahjong is a tile-based game developed in China in the 19th century, spreading in popularity around the world throughout the 20th century.

Learn the 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s disease, hear from people who have the disease, and find out how to recognize the signs in yourself or others.

Join us for an hour of coffee, coloring, and conversation. Unwind, catch up with your neighbors, meet new friends, and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea! For adults only, no registration is required.  All supplies will be provided.

Schenectady County Free Naloxone Trainings. Schenectady County Public Health Services is hosting free Naloxone trainings and information sessions for community members at select Schenectady County Public Libraries.

Bring your own coloring books and supplies or use our fun collection of books, pens, markers, and colored pencils. Ages 14+
No refreshments, just open time for coloring.

Bunkong Tuon is a Cambodian American writer, Pushcart Prize–winning poet, and professor at 
Union College in Schenectady. His work has appeared in World Literature Today, Copper
