Colossal Teen Writing Club

Join TWC this summer to create a collaborative writing project! We’ll use a short-term tabletop game, "Colossal," to explore character development, worldbuilding, and narrative as a community of writers. At the end of the summer, we’ll display the fruit of our storytelling efforts in the Scotia library for our community to admire. Plus, we’ll host three guest stars throughout the summer: award-winning young adult author Rebecca Barrow (Bad Things Happen Here, And Don’t Look Back); editor, poet, and creator of our narrative game, Kay Marlow Allen; and local teen author Shreya Sharath (The Hidden Realm). These authors will dish all the details about their work, their creative journeys, and the writing life!

For teens grades 6th-12th. Participants must be able to attend all seven programs in-person or participate remotely. Your creative contributions will help build our game’s story and characters!
