In partnership with the Town of Rotterdam, SCPL will be visiting parks around Rotterdam this Summer! Enjoy an outdoor story time with a breakfast snack and craft.

Join us to enjoy a storybook reading and create an art project based on our book of the day. Today we'll read Never Let a Unicorn Wear a Tutu and will make Sparkly Unicorn Snow Globes!

A classic workshop where we make paper! Participants learn about the importance of recycling while making art. Participants will have access to seeds and flower petals to press into their paper to enhance its utility and beauty.

Enjoy working together, meeting new friends, and helping each other to begin and complete fiber arts projects.

Join local artist Tracy Loring for a fun mixed media experience using collage to create a unique piece of artwork

Create your own Tie Dye Teddy Bear!  First bring you bear to life by hand stuffing it.  Then make it uniquely your own by stamping it with tie-dye paint markers.  Teddy grahams will be provided as a snack.

Come and learn how to bedazzle tote bags and take home 1 tote bag with a design of your choice! Presented by Pauline Saunders and Electric City Barn.

Join local artist and educator, Megan Viscio as we explore the complex beauty of color while designing a custom, miniature house!

Calling all fiber arts enthusiasts! Bring your supplies to this open crafting hour and work on your project in good company.

Relax with some crayons, colored pencils or markers and an adult coloring book! 

This summer join art curator, Njeri, in exploring Ghost Adventures. This project is inspired by Ghost River, a painting by artist Tyson Reeder.

Take advantage of our air conditioning to chill out and de-stress at the library! Join us each month for relaxing activities that don’t feature a screen. Snacks and supplies provided!

Scratch Art is fun & easy too; and with your Grab & Go kit you can bring home the fun.  Scratch out a design for a bookmark, a note to a friend, or a decoration for your room.  You can even create an animal mask! 

Bring your current fiber art project to this social group to work on, meet new people and learn new skills. From knitting/crochet to cross stitch, and everything in between, we can help each other begin and complete craft projects.

Come to the library and get creative with the Spark Wheel! Spin the wheel and it will randomly select what to draw, what shapes and colors to use! For families with kids & teens.

Tunisian crochet is an easy technique a little bit like knitting that makes a thicker material suitable for wash or dish cloths, potholders, and with fine yarn, scarves.

At the Car Wash...at the library!  Each child participant will construct a car wash for their very own matchbox cars!  Two cars will be provided (and kept!) by each child participant.
