In partnership with the Town of Rotterdam, visit our town parks this summer and enjoy an outdoor story time with fruit or muffins for breakfast! Food will be nut-free.

Join us for a story time the whole family can enjoy! While the books, songs, and rhymes will be for 1 and 2 year olds, siblings are welcome.

For 1 and 2 year olds and their caregivers.

Bring your baby and bounce along to songs, rhymes, and stories! Learn about early literacy resources and connect with other caregivers.

Meet Genny, a therapy dog who would love to listen to you read a story. For children in grades K-5 with an adult.

Our program begins with a story, followed by exploratory play.  We practice sharing and communicating, and building early literacy through fun story-themed activities for preschoolers.

We admit it; we love sharks! Drop by for shark puzzles, MadLibs, coloring sheets, and more. Check out a shark book and try to guesstimate how many sharks are in the jar.

A Baby Café is a free drop-in service offering in-person breastfeeding/chestfeeding support for pregnant and/or new parents in the community. Siblings and partners welcome! Grab and go snacks provided.

Join instructor Janet Jaster to learn the basics of crochet. Fun for the whole family! All materials will be provided.

This event is a 4-class series 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, and 7/29. Participants should be able to attend all 4 classes.

In this class you will perform postures and breathing exercises with the aid of a chair. Students can experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor.

Drop in and play a board game! We have Operation, Scrabble, Perfection, Jenga, Guess Who, Yeti in My Spaghetti, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Connect 4, Checkers, Chess and various card games! For families with kids and teens.

Students will join instructor Laurel-Le Lipski from Electric City Barn to make a set of four tile coasters decorated using colorful alcohol ink. All supplies provided.

Join us for a special showing of The Shark Riddle – a 30-minute shark film for the whole family – featuring HD footage of over 20 shark species, as well as shark dentists and seals singing about blubber.

Join us for a fun building challenge using a variety of materials, including LEGOs, Magnetiles, Strawbees, and more. We supply the building materials, but projects will stay at the library, so bring your camera!

Join us for this new class on climate and sustainability! This course will lay the foundation on climate science, climate change, local impacts, and what we can do in our communities to promote sustainability and build resiliency!

Join TWC this summer to create a collaborative writing project! We’ll use a short-term tabletop game, "Colossal," to explore character development, worldbuilding, and narrative as a community of writers.

Schenectady County Free Naloxone Trainings. Schenectady County Public Health Services is hosting free Naloxone trainings and information sessions for community members at select Schenectady County Public Libraries.
