Bring your fiber arts work to the Crafting Nest at the Woodlawn branch library. Enjoy working together, meeting new friends, and helping each other begin and complete projects.

Join WMHT Public Television for a Kids Count program and activities.  Read & discuss the story: Roar: A Noisy Counting Book, enjoy child & caregiver counting activities, hands-on crafts, and carry home the storybook.

Create your own Tie Dye Teddy Bear!  First bring you bear to life by hand stuffing it.  Then make it uniquely your own by stamping it with tie-dye paint markers.  Teddy grahams will be provided as a snack.

Join local artist Tracy Loring for a fun mixed media experience using collage to create a unique piece of artwork

Scratch Art is fun & easy too.  Scratch out a design for a bookmark, a note to a friend, or a decoration for your room.  You can even create an animal mask!  

For children ages 3+ and their caregivers.  

At the Car Wash...at the library!  Each child participant will construct a car wash for their very own matchbox cars!  Two cars will be provided (and kept!) by each child participant.

Good night, Irene by Luis Alberto Urrea is the book selection for July.

Participants will work with an instructor from Art in Mind Studio to create a colorful Kaleidoscope Sun Catcher!  All materials provided.

Beat the heat and enjoy a fun movie at the library.  We will be watching Dog Man.  Coloring sheets will be available as well. Goldfish crackers will be provided.

The book, A Sky That Sings, by author and educator Anita Sanchez, is about a different way to experience nature.

Build in color at Build Zone.  Use your imagination to create a colorful build.  All building materials will remain in the library; don’t forget your camera!
