Event Details
Hear author Anita Sanchez read her new book, A Sky That Sings: Mia is spending a sunny afternoon at the park bird-listening! Some people enjoy bird-watching, but as a blind person, Mia uses her other senses to identify different birds by their unique calls and songs. She calls it bird-listening.
After a reading of the book, we’ll listen to some recorded bird conversations and try to figure out what the birds are saying—and learn to identify some common birdcalls.
For children in grades K-4.
