Union College Professor Mary O'Keeffe and her students will provide FREE tax assistance to our patrons.

An evening early literacy class for children birth to age 5, with an adult caregiver. Stories, songs, activities and social interaction for the whole family. Pajamas and stuffed animals welcome and strongly encouraged.  

Bring your baby and bounce along to songs, rhymes, and stories! Learn about early literacy resources and connect with other caregivers.

Join The MoonCatcher Project and SCPL for a MoonBee! MoonBees are a community event where individuals come together to create MoonCatcher Kits. MoonCatcher Kits are distributed to period pantries throughout Schenectady and the Capital Region.

Come write in! Poets, novelists, cartoonists, and more are invited to an hour of writing inspiration and sharing. Work on your existing projects or try a new prompt in a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.

Join Librarian Laura in a book discussion of Witch Hat Atelier, Vol. 1 by Kamome Shirahama and a related craft. Snacks and drinks will also be provided! For kids aged 9-12.

Chill out and de-stress from school at the library! Join us each month for relaxing activities that don’t feature a screen. Snacks and supplies provided! During February, we'll occupy our hands with a string art project while our minds unwind.
