Welcome to a new REELS Spotlight Cinema Series at Scotia, where each series of films highlights a particular actor, director, or theme. This series spotlight shines on movies that highlight the locations in which they are set.

Join us, starting Tuesday, May 5th, from 5:30-7PM in a welcoming and safe environment as we share our flash writing pieces (1000 words or less), loosely inspired by various prompts given at the previous meeting.

Come check out our early literacy stations in the programming room, including a story time! We will have books previously selected for check out and a craft station every week! Activities and play stations will be different each week.

Learn about simple machines, cams, and cranks as you build a paper dinosaur automaton that moves when you turn the handle! In this workshop you will make a model Jurassic-era creature looking for a meal.

Join us for an active storytime that teaches early literacy concepts through stories, songs, movement and rhymes. We finish with free playtime and an optional craft! 

Participants will explore real fossils and uncover a hidden fossil using watercolor paint!

For kids in grades K-5. Registration required.
