Early literacy class for children birth to age 5, with adult caregiver. Stories, songs, activities and social interaction for the whole family.

Drop-in, no registration required. 

Come check out our early literacy stations in the programming room, including a story time! We will have books previously selected for check out and a craft station every week! Activities and play stations will be different each week.

Join wmht Public Television and the Niskayuna Library for family activities.   Watch the story, make turtle crafts, and carry home the storybook.

Bring your baby and bounce along to songs, rhymes, and stories! Learn about early literacy resources and connect with other caregivers.

Stories & learning for families with children ages birth to 5 years old. 

Come make a 3-D cactus craft! The perfect plant because it does not need sun or water. For school aged kids and their families, registration required.

An active storytime combining movement and dance with books and stories! Led by an instructor from Baker School of Dance in Glenville. 

For children ages 3-5.  Registration required.

A group where kids meet to play educational games, do crafts or projects that challenges the brain. Meet new families from different backgrounds and learn from each other! For families with kids & teens.

Do you like to build and create? Join us weekly for build zone where we build with Legos, Duplos, and other materials suitable for small hands. For ages 6-12. Refreshments are provided.

Join us for a fun building challenge using a variety of materials, including Legos, Magnetiles, Strawbees, and more. We supply the building materials, but projects will stay at the library, so bring your camera.

Practice your creative writing skills and use your imagination! Meet us for snacks, fun writing prompts, and sharing if you'd like. For kids in grades 3-5.

Get inspired by slime! Join us to enjoy a storybook reading and create a different slimy masterpiece each week. For slimers ages 6 - 12. Refreshments are provided.

Meet Lucky Charm, a therapy dog who would love to listen to you read a story. For children in grades K-5.

Registration appreciated, drop-ins also welcome.

Yarn bombing is a street art form where public objects like trees, fences, and light poles are covered, wrapped, or decorated with knitted or crocheted yarn. Come to the library to make something for the outdoors!

Come test your knowledge about a bunch of topics with teams of 4 with some Great Prizes! 

Read some stories before bed! Join us twice a month for an evening edition of Family Story Time, with songs and stories suitable for ages 0 months-6 years (older siblings welcome).
